My husband Charles Moelter (Sr.) just talked with his cousin Waldemar, who gave him (me) the assignment to look up Jay Dorfman in connection with Waldemar Kuhn.
It is exciting to see the responses from the many others who have crossed paths with Waldemar. You are correct about Waldemar having mastered many media: we have an early clay crucifix, a bronze Madonna and Child, a slender wood-carved Madonna and a very Barock ceramic Madonna as well as a tiny wooden model of a sculpted wall.
And, Jay: definitely make the correction to Fränkisches Bauernhaus" as Ulli writes.

Having known Waldemar Kuhn has been one of my finest experiences. His friendship, generosity and hospitality is as great as his artistry. I hope that I will be able to see and embrace him again. Thank you for creating this wonderful dedication.

Wonderful work...both yours & Kuhn's Congratulations!!! Visited you in Germany in 72' or 73' at Kuhn's family farm outside Nuerenberg. I was friendly w/ Hank Hollander and he introduced us.

Hi Jay, I remember the Schrottkreuz from visiting the church after school in my childhood early 70s. And the impression remained with ever since! Must go and see it again when next in Emmerich. Good luck with the book. Let me know if you need support.

Jay, what a great project. Kuhn deserves to have this book done and what a bonus to have it done during his life time. As I've mentioned, its been a dream of mine to go back to Germany to see Kuhn. The creation of this book is just added incentive to get there soon.

As I am helping Jay sift through endless images of my father's life work, I realise how Jay's vision and observation through his lens compliments the artist. The fusion of both their works creates new longevity in Waldema Kuhn's art. Bravo Jay!

The India photo series is one of the most beautiful I have ever seen. The colors are just magical. Thank you for sharing these. The people in the portraits come alive. This is photography as no one has ever seen before. As a photographer, you bring the country to us. That is such a gift! Everyone needs to come out to see your amazing work!

I am so excited about this new body of work and the upcoming show.
